Hi there, I’m Shae

I’m a Northern California-based blogger originally from Utah, and a proud stay-at-home mom of two, including a child born with a cleft lip and palate. I’m passionate about lip balm, dirty Dr Pepper, cozy clothes, hair care, and exploring new hobbies.

My mission is to empower mothers to recognize that they can have personal aspirations and passions beyond motherhood while providing support and resources to help them rediscover themselves within it. I believe that being a mom doesn’t mean losing your identity—it’s about enhancing it.

Here, you’ll find encouragement, practical tips, and a community that understands the challenges of balancing personal growth with motherhood. You are not alone for feeling the need for something more, and wanting that doesn’t make you any less of a devoted mom.

So, let’s grab a Dr Pepper, get comfortable, and embark on this journey together. I’m so glad you’re here!

Here we talk about

My Story

It all started when we moved away from family, and for the first time, I was a full-time stay-at-home mom. No job, no familiar faces, just me and my little ones. I loved being a mom, but suddenly, I felt like I had lost everything about who I was. I wasn’t prepared for how deeply it would affect me, and soon enough, I found myself slipping into a depression.

I missed feeling like my own person. I was proud to be there for my kids, but I wanted more than just the repetitive cycle of daily routines. It felt like I’d given up my identity and the chance to grow in my own way. Watching my husband progress in his career made me both happy for him and painfully aware of my own stagnation. I needed something to feel like me again, to remind myself that there was more to my story than motherhood alone.

Eventually, I came across a story of a mom just like me, who started her own blog, working on it between diaper changes and nap times. She found a way to share her passions, build a community, and create something for herself without sacrificing time with her family. It was a huge turning point for me—seeing that it was possible for a mom to have both her family and her dreams. That’s when I decided to take a leap and start my own journey.

Since then, I’ve explored beauty, hair, and fashion to help me feel more like myself, sharing these experiences in the hope that other moms can find inspiration too. I’ve learned that reclaiming your identity doesn’t mean you’re less of a mom—it means you’re a stronger one. I want to help other moms rediscover their passions, make space for themselves, and realize that motherhood and personal fulfillment can coexist.

Now, I’m focused on finding joy in every aspect of my life—whether it’s playing with my kids, experimenting with a new lip balm, or building a community of moms who want more than “just getting by.” I’m here to support other women in discovering that they can be fulfilled, empowered, and the best version of themselves while embracing the beauty of motherhood.
